Yes. Alafia Group Home is a co-ed facility and accommodates up to 8 residents in a supportive, structured, and inclusive environment.
Do residents receive 24/7 support?
Absolutely. We provide around-the-clock staffing and supervision to ensure the safety, security, and comfort of all residents.
What services do you provide on-site?
We offer 24/7 supervision, medication management, life skills training, transportation assistance, and coordination with outside therapy or medical services.
How long can someone stay at Alafia Group Home?
We offer long-term residential care, based on the individual’s ongoing eligibility and needs. Each resident’s progress and appropriateness for continued stay are reviewed periodically.

What is the cost of care, and do you accept insurance or Medicaid?
We accept referrals from CSBs and other state-supported programs that fund mental health residential care. Please contact us for more information regarding payment and funding sources.
Do residents participate in activities or day programs?
Yes. We promote social engagement and skill-building. Residents are supported in accessing day programs, employment, volunteering, and other therapeutic or recreational activities.
Is transportation available for medical appointments and community activities?
Yes, we provide transportation assistance for essential appointments and structured community integration activities.
Is your home licensed and inspected?
Yes. Alafia Group Home is fully licensed by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) and compliant with Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) regulations
